Xiaomi’s first 108 megapixel smartphone fails new DxOMark test

He did not even make the top ten.
The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition smartphone released last fall is also known as the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Premium Edition. He became the first smartphone on the market with a five-module camera with a resolution of 108 megapixels.

DxOMark laboratory experts tested his camera back in November, giving the smartphone a score of 121. He is still among the five best camera phones, losing only 2 points to the leader.

Recently, DxOMark also tests the audio capabilities of smartphones. Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition is equipped with one speaker, a 3.5 mm jack for headphones, as well as support for Hi-Res Audio. As a result of testing the audio system, Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition received 54 points, including 50 points for playback and 64 points for recording quality.

So far, DxOMark has tested a total of 14 smartphones for playback and sound recording quality. Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition could not get into the top ten, losing to all last year’s flagships, including Huawei Mate 20X, Apple iPhone XS Max, Asus ROG Phone II, Google Pixel 4, Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, OnePlus 7 Pro, etc. Surpassed only Honor 20 Pro, Black Shark 2 Pro and Sony Xperia 1.

The most noticeable drawback of the smartphone was the only speaker located in the lower left corner of the device. This creates a not very comfortable feeling when playing music and movies, as well as in games. There are other problems, such as a noticeable lack of low frequencies and high distortion at maximum volume.
