Xiaomi set an absolute record

Last month in India was filled with holiday sales in several online stores. The local Xiaomi division confirmed that the month ended for the company by setting a new record.

In the period from September 28 to October 29 this year, only 12 million devices were sold in India, of which 8.5 million units were smartphones.

Record sales were demonstrated by the Redmi Note 7 smartphone line, which was sold in the largest circulation. Sales of smart TVs Xiaomi Mi TV exceeded 600 thousand units. Over 3 million Xiaomi ecosystem devices have also been sold.

During this period, Xiaomi TVs were the sales leaders for Flipkart and Amazon India, and the top ten best-selling Amazon India smartphones were nine Xiaomi models.

Compared to last year, sales of all Xiaomi devices grew by 40%. Smartphone sales are also record highs, they have grown by 37% over the year. Competitors from the smartphone industry could not achieve anything like this before. TV sales were up 47%.

Counterpoint Research announced that Xiaomi shipped most smartphones in India in the third quarter of 2019. The brand currently holds 26% of the market, followed by Samsung and Vivo with a market share of 20% and 17% respectively.
