According to a report by Clarivate Analytics Plc., Xiaomi entered the list of one hundred leading global innovators Dewert for the second time in a row, taking the second line of the rating. The rating is formed on the basis of the innovative potential of the largest companies.
The Derwent Top 100 Global Innovators 2020 rating is compiled by representatives from 14 countries. This year it included only three companies from China. 38 organizations are leading in the mobile device and electronics industry, which is three more than in 2019.
Innovative potential and competently built long-term strategic planning are invariably noted by representatives of various ratings. Last year, Xiaomi first hit the lists of Fortune Future 50 and Fortune Global 500, becoming the youngest representative on this list in 2019, as well as in the rating of the 100 largest Forbes companies.
For the ninth year, the Derwent Top 100 Global Innovators has been using advanced, authoritative and accurate patent data developed using the Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI) and Derwent Patent Citations Index (DPCI) to track innovation based on four indicators: number of patented innovations, impact the company’s innovation in the market, success in obtaining patents and the size of the company’s investment in inventions.
