Xiaomi beat Apple, Huawei and Samsung in the market of smart watches and bracelets

Canalys’ new report, which focuses exclusively on the smartwatch and fitness tracker segment, shows a different picture. In this case, the category of wireless headphones dominated by Apple AirPods was not taken into account.

According to Canalys, in the third quarter, Xiaomi took first place in this category worldwide, shipping 12.2 million devices and occupying 27% of the market. Over the year, sales grew by 74.4%. Xiaomi’s growth is due to “high sales in China and aggressive expansion abroad.” Apple took second place with a market share of 15%, with 60% of the supply coming from the latest Apple Watch Series 5.

Huawei took third place, shipping 5.9 million devices and occupying 13% of the market. Over the year, deliveries were increased by 243% due to sales growth in China. Fitbit takes 8% of the market and fourth place. Samsung ranked fifth and 6% of the market.
