Xiaomi confirms ultrafast LPDDR5 memory in new Redmi flagship.
Today, several smartphone manufacturers have announced that their new flagship devices will be equipped with ultrafast LPDRR5 RAM.
First, the head of Xiaomi, Lei Jun and the head of the Redmi brand, Lu Weibing, officially confirmed that Xiaomi Mi 10 will be the first smartphone in the world that uses LPDDR5 RAM. Then Nubia Technology CEO Ni Fei challenged the statement, noting that a few days ago a similar statement was made about the Nubia Red Devil 5G smartphone. Behind them, Realme CEO Xu Qi confirmed that the company’s new flagship will also be equipped with LPDDR5 memory.
Lei Jun added that the use of LPDDR5 memory in Xiaomi Mi 10 allowed to extend the operating time of the smartphone without recharging by about 10%.
In addition, leader Lei Jun presented Redmi fans with another surprise: the new flagship sub-brand, which will be released under the name Redmi K30 Pro, also received the most modern RAM.
LPDDR5 is a standard option for the flagship smartphone in 2020. The new flagship Redmi will be presented shortly.

Lou Weibing confirmed this information on his Weibo page. It is expected that the Redmi K30 Pro will be released in March this year, so as not to interfere with the February launch of Xiaomi Mi 10.
