Windows Mobile is dead

Microsoft recommends switching to smartphones with Android or iOS.
Microsoft tomorrow will finally cease official support for the latest version of its mobile platform Windows 10 Mobile (1709).

Previous versions of Windows 10 Mobile, including 1511, 1607, and 1703, are no longer served by Microsoft. Devices, of course, will continue to work after December 10, but the functionality will be cut back and security will be in jeopardy. Microsoft recommends that the remaining users of Window 10 Mobile switch to smartphones with Android or iOS.

Starting December 10, 2019, Windows 10 Mobile users will not be able to receive security updates from Microsoft, non-security fixes, free technical support, and so on.

In addition, backups and other internal services will become unavailable. However, some services, including downloading photos, restoring from an existing backup, will be able to work for at least 12 months after the end of support.
