The creators of the Chinese benchmark Master Lu published an unusual rating – a list of smartphones that were most often faked in 2019.
The list is more common smartphones Samsung and Apple. In general, Samsung accounted for 28.7% of fakes, and Apple – 15.88%.
The most popular model among counterfeit manufacturers was Samsung W2018. A smartphone in a folding form factor with two touch screens, as well as a digital hardware keyboard, is one of the most popular smartphone models in China. Samsung W2018 fakes have been discovered 4,688 times.
In second place is the iPhone 8 with 4445 cases of fakes and the iPhone XS Max with 2499 cases. Then in the ranking are iPhone X, Samsung W2019, Galaxy S8 +, Xiaomi Mi Max, Mi 9, OPPO R11 Plus and OnePlus 7 Pro.
Counterfeits were detected using the Master Lu benchmark. In total, in 2017, 57,790 of these 6,639,704 total smartphones were registered.
