Intel today introduced a line of low-cost server processors Xeon E-2200 – they replaced the models of the Xeon E-2100 series. Novelties – and there are no surprises here – are based on the Coffee Lake Refresh microarchitecture and are made according to the 14 nm process technology.
If you do not touch on a slight increase in the frequency (along with this, the TDP value has also slightly increased), the main innovation is the availability of two eight-core models: Xeon E-2288G and Xeon E-2278G. In fact, these are the first budget eight-core CPUs of the Xeon line.
