According to Sapphire test results.
AMD has not yet introduced the Radeon RX 5500 XT, but MSI did it today, so we know everything about the graphics card. Including the fact that the adapter has the same 1408 stream processors as the regular RX 5500. And the frequencies of the cards are very close.
This hinted that the performance of the RX 5500 XT will be as close as possible to the RX 5500, and at the same time to the GTX 1650 Super, which is cheaper. However, Sapphire data indicate otherwise.
There are no new video cards on the manufacturer’s website yet, but they are in the assortment of the JD.com store. And there you can find various official slides.
As you can see, according to them, the new product is still faster than the main competitor, and sometimes even bypasses the GTX 1660 Super! Ahead of the novelty and the old man is the Radeon RX 590. And it is not very clear why. If you consider that the Sapphire data are correct, there is only one assumption so far: due to the larger power limit, the real frequencies are much higher than the indicated ones. Given that today the frequencies declared by the manufacturer are often very arbitrary, such a scenario may well occur.
If the performance of the RX 5500 XT is really at that level, at its price it will be a good offer. True, it is worth considering that we are still talking about the non-reference and overclocked Sapphire card.
