Panasonic introduced the PT-RQ35K projector at an ISE 2020 event recently held in Amsterdam. According to the manufacturer, the world’s smallest and lightest 3-DLP laser projector with a luminous flux of 30,000 lumens. Its resolution is 4K (3480 x 2400 pixels). The series also included the PT-RZ34K model with a resolution of WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels).
The new projector is 40% smaller than the PT-RQ32K, creating a 26,000 lumens flow. However, it covers 114% of the color space covered by the PT-RQ32K. The red and blue laser LEDs are used as a light source.
To connect to a signal source there is an HDMI input. In addition, the projector equipment includes an input and an output for synchronizing several projectors, serial ports (RS-232C), remote control connectors, a Gigabit Ethernet network port and a USB port that can be used to connect a wireless adapter or USB flash drive. There are also two slots for expansion modules compatible with SLOT NX. Dimensions of the device are 600 x 360 x 800 mm, weight – 70 kg. The manufacturer guarantees a service life of 20,000 hours (measured by a decrease in brightness by 50%). He does not quote the price of PT-RQ35K, limiting himself to a promise to start selling in November this year.
