The legendary Nokia will release a brand new product on December 5. It will also introduce three smartphones on the same day.

We have already reported that one of the largest online platforms Flipkart in India has entered into a partnership agreement with Nokia to produce Nokia-branded televisions in the Indian market.

Now, HMD Global has begun sending out invitations to reporters for a press conference to be held December 5, 2019. As expected, Nokia Smart TV will be distributed initially in India only through Flipkart.

Earlier this week, the first images of Nokia Smart TV appeared on the Web, which confirmed the presence of narrow frames on three sides, as well as the presence of a high-quality JBL sound system. TVs will support Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround technologies.

The device was spotted at the BIS Indian Standards Bureau, which confirmed that the TV is equipped with a 55-inch panel with 4K Ultra HD resolution. The device will be running Android 9 and will have access to the Google Play Store.

In India, Nokia Smart TV will compete with Xiaomi smart TVs, which are leaders in this market, as well as OnePlus TV, Motorola TV and other products.

On December 5, Nokia Mobile also holds an event that is expected to announce Nokia 8.2, Nokia 5.2 and Nokia 2.3.
