The DS Aero Sport Lounge concept crossover received a thatched cabin and a range of 650 kilometers

French carmaker DS brought its own version of the Aero Sport Lounge concept coupe-crossover to the Geneva Motor Show. In addition to the original aerodynamic solutions, an impressive range of 650 kilometers and a bold design, the novelty is also interesting with straw trim materials.

Engineers noted the desire to create a car exterior that meets the most stringent aerodynamic efficiency parameters. Special fairings are installed even on 23-inch wheels. Aero Sport Lounge received DS Light Veil light panels and DS Matrix LED Vision matrix headlights. A miniature display is installed on the radiator grill, on which the brand emblem and other information are displayed.

In the passenger compartment, the decoration of which is made of straw grown in Burgundy, four separate seats are installed. On the dashboard is a projection panel, which occupies its entire area. A feature of the model was the support of augmented reality due to a projector reflecting related information on the windshield.

The car uses a gesture recognition system integrated into the armrest, panoramic multimedia system Ultraleap, as well as a built-in voice assistant IRIS with support for artificial intelligence technologies.

Aero Sport Lounge is built on the basis of the power plant, which DS engineers used in Formula E racing. The engine power of the concept car is 680 horsepower. With a built-in battery capacity of 110 kWh, the manufacturer promises a range of 650 kilometers. Whether DS plans to introduce in future a production version of this electric car is not reported.
