The Japanese company CIO organized a fundraiser on the Kickstarter website for the release of the Smartcoby mobile battery, which it calls the smallest and lightest device of its kind in the world. It is difficult to verify this statement, since it is necessary to consider not only the dimensions and weight, but other Smartcoby characteristics. For example, a capacity of 8000 mAh, which is a lot for a battery measuring 65 x 90 x 13 mm and weighing 137 g. The product also has support for USB Power Delivery 3.0 and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging. The battery is fully charged in 2.5 hours.

The compact housing contains a LiNiMnCo cell battery. The battery has two input ports and two output (USB-A and USB-C) and supports end-to-end connection to the charger, in which it charges both itself and the mobile device connected to it.

Consumers are offered several color options. In addition, for those who are ready to put up with a slightly larger thickness – 22 mm, a version with a capacity of 10,000 mAh is available. It has another USB-A output connector. In any case, the cable and case are included.

The fee required to get an 8000 mAh battery is $ 24. Fundraising is completed in less than a day, but the target amount has already been exceeded almost five times. Shipment of batteries should begin in February.
