Tesla will still destroy 92 hectares of forest to build its plant

The other day it became known that a German court ordered Tesla to stop deforestation near Berlin. The company was cutting down as part of a project to build a new Gigafactory plant and intended to destroy 92 hectares of forest.

And yesterday it became known that a German court allowed her to do this. More specifically, the court rejected the request of several organizations to stop cutting, as Tesla has all the necessary permissions to do this.

As a result, a very interesting situation arose when almost 1 km2 of forest would be destroyed to build a plant for the production of green cars.

The Tesla plant in Germany, called Gigafactory 4 or Giga Berlin, will produce batteries for electric cars, engines, and Model Y crossovers. Production at the factory should start next summer
