Steam sets a record for the number of users online

The previous record lasted two years.
According to SteamDB, the Steam platform has just broken its record for the number of users simultaneously using the service. New record – 18,801,944 people. The previous record – 18 537 490 users – was set on January 14, 2018, that is, it lasted two years.

Interestingly, the number of users who were actually in a game at that moment was noticeably less than two years ago: about 5.8 million versus about 7 million. The graph shows the number of online users in blue, the number of users actually in red in Game.
