Producers Trial for Threat to Consumer Health.
The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) lab has conducted a study confirming that some Samsung and Apple mobile phones exceed the limits set in the country. After that, the American law firm FeganScott decided to sue manufacturers for “a threat to consumer health.”
Beth Fegan, senior manager of FeganScott, said manufacturers should be held accountable for such actions.
“Smartphones Apple and Samsung have changed our lifestyle. Adults, teens and children wake up to check their email or play games, as well as perform work or school exercises on their smartphones. They carry these devices in their pockets throughout the day and literally fall asleep with them in their beds. Smartphone owners across the country deserve to know that the radio frequency levels from smartphones when touching the skin or when used close to the body can be unsafe.”
In particular, the study focused on the following models: iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 and iPhone XR, as well as Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S10. iPhone 8 exceeded the established limit by five times. And the Samsung Galaxy S8 showed three times more radiation than allowed.
“Manufacturers claim their smartphones are safe. This is not true. Independent measurements confirm that RF levels significantly exceed the federal exposure limit. Sometimes exceeding it by 500%. Consumers must know the truth.”
