Seagate Releases New Fast PCIe 4.0 SSDs

More and more manufacturers are releasing SSDs with the new PCIe 4.0 interface, which is currently only available for the Ryzen 3000. This time, Seagate distinguished itself, whose new solutions can reach read speeds of 5 GB/s.

FireCuda 520 is the new Seagate M.2 NVMe SSD with PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, an excellent choice for increasing the speed of the new build on the new generation AMD Ryzen 3000 processor. The Seagate FireCuda 520 is equipped with the Phison E16 SSD controller, which in combination with the TLC NAND flash Kioxia 96L BiCS4 memory provides high performance with sequential read / write bandwidth of up to 5000/4400 MB / s and up to 760 000/700 000 random read / write IOPS.

The FireCuda 520 drive comes with a black printed circuit board and has an MTBF (MTBF) of 1.8 million hours. It also comes with a five year warranty and can withstand up to 3600 TB of overwriting. Seagate FireCuda 520 SSDs are now available with 500 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB capacities. MSRP FireCuda 520s are only $ 125 for 500 GB, $ 250 for 1 TB and $ 430 for 2 TB.
