Native Instruments introduced the SCARBEE RICKENBACKER BASS, a new Native instruments vst for Native Instruments KONTAKT that simulates the Rickenbacker 4003 bass guitar. The samples were shot by bassist and guitar designer Thomas Skarbay.
It is reported that Native Instruments BASS is the first software version of this bass approved by Rickenbacker. The popular Rickenbacker 4003 guitar provides deep bottoms and a detailed middle that allow the instrument to remain sharp and visible in the mix. For this bass guitar vst, two types of articulation were sampled – open and with a pizzicate palm-muted.
To ensure the highest level of detail in the process of picking up a guitar, Thomas Scarby used top-grade preamps Metric Halo LIO-8, Mogami patch cables and Rotosound bass strings. His attention to detail also extends to the technique of the play. All samples were recorded from the Rick-O-Sound stereo output, which made it possible to preserve the unique guitar sound. Compatible with Native instruments Guitar Rig and Cubase.
This instrument can rightfully take the place of the best bass guitar vst in my opinion.
