Samsung will not raise salaries this year as much as in previous years

According to a source, Samsung and LG this year reduced the rate of increase in base wages. Samsung has concluded an agreement with the union, according to which, the base salary this year will increase by 2.5% compared to 3.5% in 2019 and 2018.

LG concluded a similar agreement, but this manufacturer’s base salary this year will increase by 3.8% compared to 4.3% a year earlier. The reason in this case is one – the coronavirus pandemic.

It is worth noting that the above growth indicators relate specifically to the base wage, so, of course, in some cases, wages can grow much more – this will depend on the segment of activity and on the personal achievements of each employee.
