Samsung will miss IFA 2020

From September 4 to 9, Berlin will host the Internationale Funkausstellung or IFA – the largest consumer electronics exhibition in Europe. Samsung has been a regular contributor to IFA since 1991, and even used the exhibition to launch new Galaxy Note models several years ago. Although now the South Korean electronic giant has ceased to coincide with such large announcements to the IFA, it continues to participate in the exhibition.

However, according to the source, this year the Samsung leadership decided to skip IFA 2020. The reason why the company decided not to take part in the largest European electronics exhibition was called the ongoing pandemic. By limiting employee business trips to only critical ones, companies are trying to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

By the way, the event scheduled for August 5, dedicated to the release of the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2 smartphones, will be virtual, that is, it will be held exclusively in the online format.
