Samsung will disappoint users of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note8

Samsung has driven the last nail into the coffin of hopes of receiving an Android 10 update for users of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note8 smartphones.

Samsung has published an official schedule for scheduled updates in the Notices section of the Samsung Members app. Schedules may vary from country to country. For example, in India, the Galaxy S9 smartphone should be updated in January, and in Israel in April.

Given the company’s policy of providing only two major updates to the operating system, it was almost unambiguously clear that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note8 would be left without an update to Android 10. The flagship smartphones came out in 2017 and already received two promised updates – to Android 8 Oreo and Android 9 Pie.

Recently, however, a message appeared on the network that a Samsung representative confirmed in the letter that there were plans to update Android 10 for the Galaxy S8.
