On the YouTube channel EverythingApplePro published a comparison of the speed of the latest flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, which is not yet available in Russia, as well as the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which is Apple’s premium smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is equipped with a single-chip Snapdragon 865 system, which on paper is ahead of the Apple A13 SoC. In addition, the equipment of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra includes 12 GB of RAM, while the iPhone 11 Pro Max received only 4 GB of RAM.
In the beginning, the speed of loading applications was checked, including the camera, Photoshop Express, Word, Amazon, Subway Surfers, Temple Escape 2, Asphalt 9 and others. In the first round, the iPhone 11 Pro Max got a slight advantage, ahead of Samsung’s super-flagship by about 13 seconds.
But already in the second round, everything fell into place and the limitations caused by the small amount of RAM of the iPhone 11 Pro Max made themselves felt. As a result, when you restart the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra noticeably ahead of the competitor. He completed the task in 1 minute 5 seconds, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max took twice as much time (2:04).
If you compare the turn-on speed, then the iPhone 11 Pro Max loads a little faster. Face ID recognition on the iPhone 11 Pro Max also works faster.
As a result, the author of the review noted that both smartphones are approximately equally fast under normal use cases. At the same time, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is indeed the fastest Android smartphone tested by EverythingApplePro.
