Allegedly, the South Korean giant offers discounts on contract manufacturing, hoping to lure customers from a Taiwanese competitor. Samsung’s actions are facilitated by the fact that TSMC is not able to fulfill all orders – the demand exceeds the capabilities of the lines on which advanced technological processes are mastered.
