Rockstar Games will transfer part of the income to combat the effects of coronavirus

The gaming industry continues to fight the coronavirus on all fronts. Rockstar Games joined in the battle with the pandemic and its aftermath. The most respected studio has promised to help a number of organizations by donating 5% of in-game purchase revenue to Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online over the next two months.

First of all, Rockstar Games intends to help companies that cannot operate during quarantine and do not receive state support. She also plans to transfer part of the funds to organizations that are directly involved in helping the victims of the crisis. The studio promised more often to share news about its charity initiative.

Even 5% of profits in GTA Online and Red Dead Online is more than a decent amount. Rockstar itself did not publish relevant data on the active audience of the multiplayer modes of these games, but GTA V and RDR 2 have not left the sales charts in different regions for several months.
