For many years this market has grown, fueled by the desire of consumers to retain content, but now the situation has changed. Connectivity quickly increased, infrastructure improved, and consumer confidence in cloud storage increased.
This allowed analysts to make the following forecast: until 2023, the removable media market will decline by an average of 1% per year. According to forecasts, this is a huge market – in 2018, more than 1.1 billion units of removable media were sold.
Removable media are used in game consoles, PCs, smartphones, cameras and other electronic devices.
