The gaming headset was introduced by Razer. The novelty is called Razer Kraken Ultimate. According to the manufacturer, THX Spatial Audio technology has found application in it, surpassing 7.1 surround sound in positioning accuracy.
The headset uses 50 mm emitters and an active noise canceling microphone. The headphone bowls are decorated with full-color backlight compatible with the Razer Chroma control system. Gel-filled ear pads provide enhanced comfort. They have channels for the temples of the glasses. The design of the bowl and headband used steel and aluminum alloys.
The frequency range reproduced by the headphones is declared equal to 20 Hz – 20 000 Hz, the impedance is 32 Ohms, and the sensitivity is 112 dB (at a frequency of 1 kHz). The microphone on the boom has a frequency response of 100 Hz – 10,000 Hz and a sensitivity of -38 ± 3 dB. The headset weighs 390 g and is connected to the computer with a two-meter USB cable.
