Qualcomm will replace Snapdragon 865 in the summer. On Snapdragon 865 Plus

Last year, Qualcomm decided to recall the past and released the Snapdragon 855 Plus – a slightly accelerated version of the Snapdragon 855, the meaning of which is not clear from the consumer point of view.

Recall that the company already did this at the time, proposing first the Snapdragon 820, and then the Snapdragon 821. But after neither the Snapdragon 835 nor the Snapdragon 845 had such improved versions.

The source reports that this year Qualcomm is again taking the same approach as in the past with the release of the Snapdragon 865 Plus. This platform is expected in the third quarter, and in about two months technical parameters will appear. Although it can be safely assumed that there will be no differences except for slightly higher frequencies.

Why Qualcomm such updated versions is not very clear, but, apparently, the company is profitable.
