ProGrade Digital has announced the release of CFexpress Type B memory cards. Recall that this type of memory card uses the PCIe Gen 3 interface and the NVMe 1.3 protocol. The new ProGrade Digital CFexpress cards provide read speeds of up to 1700 MB / s and peak write speeds of up to 1500 MB / s.
The cards are offered in two levels of performance. The 325 GB and 650 GB Cobalt cards provide a minimum steady-state recording speed of 1400 MB / s. Gold cards, which are available in 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB, have a minimum steady-state recording speed of 400 MB / s.
Cards with ProGrade Digital CFexpress Gold are already available at prices ranging from $ 180 to $ 900, and ProGrade Digital CFexpress Cobalt cards should be available by the end of June. Both of them fully comply with the specifications of the CompactFlash Association 2.0. The manufacturer considers the advantages of the new removable media to be low power consumption, provided by the support of the NVMe PS0 – PS4 modes, as well as metal cases that improve heat dissipation. The operating temperature range extends from -10 ° C to 70 ° C. If there is a risk of overheating, the cards are saved from failure and data loss by throttling. They have a three-year warranty. Each ProGrade Digital memory card has a laser engraved serial number.
