Most, of course, have a very positive attitude towards the new Half-Life, but many are already preparing to take it on YouTube: only 1% of Steam players currently have VR helmets. But it seems that this figure will increase significantly by the release of the game: in the US and Canada, all Valve Index headsets have been sold out.
Now, for example, a complete set consisting of a helmet, controllers and small accessories in the United States is ready to be delivered no earlier than December 25. That is, previously manufactured devices are already all reserved, you need to wait until a new batch is produced.
It is also noteworthy that residents of other countries face similar problems with the presence of the Valve Index. The sad news about the delayed delivery of the device has already been shared by residents of the UK, Denmark, Japan, Italy, Singapore, Korea and Germany. In general, all developed countries where the purchase of the Valve Index is not considered a luxury.
Recall, the release of Half-Life: Alyx should happen in March next year. The game will be compatible not only with Valve’s VR headset, but also with HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest with a PC and Oculus Link cable.
