Smartphones Pixel 4 and 4 XL turned out to be probably the most innovative in the history of the family, but almost the most problematic and controversial.
Here is a small battery capacity, and Motion Sense technology that is not working in many countries, and a “defective” 90 Hz mode.
Recall that initially the 90 Hz mode was activated only at a brightness of at least 75%. Google released a patch and partially corrected the situation, but, firstly, not completely, and secondly, it brought new problems.
Pixel 4 and 4 XL screens reportedly have another drawback. The fact is that the maximum brightness in normal mode for new products is about 450 cd / m2, which is much lower than most current flagships. Even with the Pixel 2 XL, the screen was brighter.

New Google smartphones also support high brightness mode, where the value reaches about 610 cd / m2, but by itself it turns on only when watching HDR video.
You can activate the increased brightness mode manually, but only through hidden settings and with obtaining root privileges.
