A recent FIH Mobile report provided information on the performance of HMD Global in the fourth quarter of last year. According to the report, before taxes, HMD Global made its first quarterly profit. The report said that HMD Global is still in the process of attracting funding and hopes to complete the round of financing in the first half of 2020.
FIH Mobile, a division of Foxconn Technology Group, manufactures Nokia-branded mobile phones for HMD Global. At the same time, FIH Mobile owns about 10% of the shares of HMD Global.
Most recently, HMD Global introduced several new mobile devices at once, including the Nokia 5310 music phone, the flagship smartphone Nokia 8.3 5G, as well as low-cost models Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 1.3. They should help the company increase its user base in difficult economic realities.
