Microsoft will support Edge in Windows 7 for another year

Microsoft has updated the support schedule for its proprietary browser Microsoft Edge in various operating systems.

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 will continue to be supported by the latest versions of Microsoft Edge until July 15, 2021. Microsoft, as usual, recommends upgrading to a new operating system for security reasons. But Windows 7 users who prefer Microsoft Edge have a year and three months left.

We will continue to support Microsoft Edge on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 until July 15, 2021. These operating systems are no longer supported, and Microsoft recommends that you upgrade to a supported operating system such as Windows 10.
