Microsoft suddenly changed her mind to bury mobile Windows

Windows 10 Mobile dug up, but soon dug again.
Microsoft planned to finally discontinue official support for the latest version of its Windows 10 Mobile (1709) platform on December 10, 2019. However, at the last moment she changed her mind.

It’s funny that Windows 10 Mobile is now so “popular” among smartphone users that Microsoft made changes to the support document on this subject a week later.

As it now says, support for Windows 10 Mobile (1709) will end on January 14, 2020. On the same day, support for the Windows 7 operating system will cease. After January 14, devices with Windows 10 Mobile and Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise installed will stop receiving updates and free technical support.

Previous versions of Windows 10 Mobile, including 1511, 1607, and 1703, are no longer served by Microsoft. Devices, of course, will continue to work after December 10, but the functionality will be cut back and security will be in jeopardy. Microsoft recommends that the remaining users of Window 10 Mobile switch to smartphones with Android or iOS.
