Microsoft has cut back on Xbox Live gamers due to coronavirus

Microsoft spoke about the measures taken in connection with the increased load on branded cloud services due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The official blog of the Microsoft Azure team explains that in the regions with the quarantine and social distance introduced, the use of Microsoft cloud services increased by 775%.

So, Windows Virtual Desktop (Windows Virtual Desktop) has become more than three times more popular, a record number of users is observed in Microsoft Teams, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live and Mixer.

Due to the increased workload, Microsoft is introducing special measures. In particular, the Xbox Live game service has temporarily disabled the function of downloading images in profiles and clubs, as well as background images. This is done to facilitate the work of the team of moderators who check for new downloads. Already downloaded pictures will continue to be displayed in normal mode.
