In addition to Meizu 17, the manufacturer is preparing several more 5G-smartphones.
Earlier this month, Meizu Technology announced that Meizu 17 will be the first smartphone to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 single-chip system.
This smartphone will appear in the spring of 2020 and will support a 5G network. Meizu Technical Director Liang Dongming added that the company plans to release four flagship smartphones with support for fifth-generation networks next year. This, he said, will allow them to take a fresh look at the market.
Earlier, Meizu Technology’s vice president, Hua Hailiang, provided a screenshot of the speed measurement on the 5G network of an unknown smartphone. Presumably, it was about Meizu 17, which has a maximum download speed of 556 Mbit / s and upload 75.1 Mbit / s, as well as a delay of 20 ms.
Hua Hailang added that the company is investing hundreds of millions of yuan in the 5G direction, which Meizu, like other manufacturers, considers very promising.
