Marshall brand introduced a smart speaker Uxbridge Voice Speaker, made in the corporate vintage design. In addition to the small size, the new features list includes a wide frequency range, the ability to work as part of a wireless stereo system and voice control functions using a virtual assistant.
The compact acoustics with dimensions of 127 x 152 x 101 mm and a frequency range of 54 – 20 000 Hz received a built-in amplifier with a power of 30 watts. The maximum sound pressure level of the speaker is 96 dB. Wi-Fi modules 801.11ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 are responsible for wireless connectivity. Support for the AirPlay 2 protocol allows the speaker to pair with AppleTV devices as wireless speakers.
On the upper part of the body of the novelty there are controls for volume, high and low frequencies, as well as a hardware microphone mute button designed to interact with Amazon Alexa’s voice assistant. The column also supports pairing with Amazon Echo speakers as part of a multi-room system, and is compatible with Spotify Connect technology.
The Marshall Uxbridge Voice in black and white will go on sale April 8 at a price of $ 199. The version with support for Google’s virtual assistant will debut in retail on June 11 this year.
