Today, Intel’s roadmap hit the Network, indicating the company’s plans for its NUC mini-PC. If this data is correct, by the end of next year Intel will have very few changes in this segment.
So, at the end of this year, NUC PCs with Tiger Lake processors should be released. Judging by some leaks, among them will be gaming models with discrete GeForce graphics cards, at least up to the GTX 1660 Ti. If we talk about classic mini-PCs, that’s all. That is, Intel allegedly will not release any more new products in a year and a half.
But it will release new models of NUC Compute Element boards, which will be based on the Tiger Lake CPU line. They will also be released at the end of this year. For some reason, high-performance NUC models will not receive updates.

Considering that CPU Comet Lake has already been released, and later this year Rocket Lake processors are waiting for us, it is not very clear why Intel will not update the mini-PC line more actively. However, it is worthwhile to understand that these roadmaps may be outdated or Intel will simply change its mind.
