The market for gaming desktop computers and laptops in the EMEA region, which includes Europe, the Middle East and Africa, grew by 2.0% in the third quarter of 2019 compared to the same period last year. In physical terms, it amounted to 2.2 million units. IDC analysts have such data. They expect growth to continue in the last quarter of 2019, at 4.1%. As a result of supply for the year reached 8.4 million units. This figure corresponds to an increase of 0.3% compared to 2018. According to IDC experts, the average annual growth rate until 2023 will be 3.8%.
At IDC, gaming PCs mean desktop computers and laptops with high-performance GPUs. In turn, the latter category includes models of the middle and upper segment of the production of AMD and Nvidia. Professional models such as Quadro and Radeon Pro are excluded from the definition of a gaming PC.
