Huawei Harmony OS will be one of the best in 2020

Harmony OS is a lightweight, compact operating system with powerful features.

In a recent interview, Huawei Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Joy Tan said that the Harmony OS code has fewer lines than the Android code, while the new operating system has a higher level of security.

“Harmony OS is a lightweight, compact operating system with powerful features. Compared to other operating systems on the market, it has far fewer lines of code and is more secure. You can run applications on a wide variety of devices.”

According to the forecast of Counterpoint Research, the latest Harmony OS mobile operating system will surpass Linux by the end of 2020 and become the fifth most popular operating system in the world.

“We have already launched the Harmony operating system. As Counterpoint Research notes in its report, by the end of 2020, the Harmony operating system should become more popular than Linux. Thus, it will become the fifth largest operating system for digital devices.”

According to a Counterpoint report, the independent operating system Huawei Harmony OS will receive 2% of the market in 2020. The remaining shares will be distributed as follows: 39% for Android; 35% for Windows; 13.87% for iOS; 5.92% for macOS; and 0.77% for Linux.
