According to Canalys analysts, the smartphone market showed growth for the first time in two years. The growth, however, was only 1%, but still this is growth.
Thanks for such an indicator, two companies can be: Samsung and Huawei. The first one increased deliveries by 11%, having sold 78.9 million smartphones in the third quarter, and the second managed, despite the sanctions, to increase sales by 29%, to 66.8 million units.
Apple, in third place, sold 43.5 million iPhones, down 7% from a year earlier. The remaining two places in the leaderboard belong to Xiaomi and Oppo. As for all other manufacturers combined, their sales fell by 14%.
The success of Huawei has already been discussed more than once, but Samsung was able to significantly increase sales primarily due to a competent pricing policy in the middle segment, which was previously not characteristic of the company. Samsung’s current flagships also sell pretty well.
