Huawei and other market leaders spend millions of dollars to fight the scary virus

Supporting the fight against coronavirus in the worst-hit Chinese city of Wuhan, various smartphone makers donate substantial sums. Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Nubia, Realme, TCL and Meizu contributed.

Huawei transferred about $ 4.3 million to the Wuhan Charity Federation to prevent and control epidemics. In addition, Huawei has also completed the installation of 5G base stations at Wuhan Mountain Hospital. Other smartphone makers Oppo and Vivo also donated similar amounts, while TCL transferred about $ 1.5 million.

TCL also ships for free, including LCD panels for public areas, air conditioning, refrigerators, washing machines and other necessary products.

Nubia division transferred about 86 thousand dollars to the account of the Wuhan Charity Federation, the contribution of Realme and Meizu amounted to 72 and 43 thousand dollars, respectively.

Earlier, Xiaomi, Lenovo and other companies provided assistance; they were the first to ship protective masks and equipment necessary for emergency care.
