The recent leak of the official Android 11 Developer Preview page was not accidental. Literally, the search giant has made Android 11 Developer Preview available to developers.
The usual similar first version of the new Android becomes available in mid-March, but this time Google decided for some reason to release it almost a month earlier. In addition, it is worth paying attention to the fact that this is Beta 1, namely the Developer Preview. Apparently, the company wants to receive feedback from developers as early as possible and in as many as possible.
The beta release is scheduled for May, and the final one will be released sometime in the third quarter. By the way, we again see the absence of a letter in the name of Android, so, probably, Android 11, like Android 10, will not receive any proper name.
As expected, Android 11 Developer Preview so far can only be installed on Google Pixel smartphones, although the first models are no longer in the compatibility list. That is, you can install on Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.
As for the new functions, solutions and other things, at the moment, of course, much is missing from the system. But now we can talk about the presence in Android 11 of various functions related to 5G, increased security, introduced support for electronic documents, new functions related to images and cameras, as well as even more modularity of the system.
