Wilk Elektronik introduced the PX500 SSD under its Goodram brand. The device of size M.2 2280 is equipped with a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface and supports the NVMe 1.3 protocol.
The new SSD uses 3D NAND flash memory and an SMI 2263XT controller. The manufacturer notes that these components are “coated with a special film of copper and graphite”, which helps to cool. The illustrations show that almost the entire area of the drive is covered by a heat sink plate or a simple radiator. Note that it almost does not increase the thickness of the drive, which, therefore, remains well suited for thin laptops and other systems with a high density.
The sequential read speed reaches 2050 MB / s, sequential write – 1650 MB / s. As for maximum performance on random access operations, it is equal to 280,000 IOPS in read mode and 240,000 IOPS in write mode.
The Goodram PX500 is available in 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB volumes. The manufacturer provides a three-year warranty on SSDs.
