The Genesis brand has been awarded two major awards by the J.D. Power Power Automotive Reliability Rating (VDS). Despite the fact that Genesis remains one of the youngest manufacturers of premium cars, he won the overall standings. In addition, the G80 sedan was also recognized as the best in the segment of mid-size premium cars.
“In the ever-evolving business of the automotive industry, we need to fully meet the demands of our customers,” said Mark Del Rosso, CEO of Genesis Motor North America. “These awards, received just a few years after the first official sales of Genesis, testify to our desire to become leading automakers with an outstanding level of reliability.”
The annual study by J.D. Power, a consulting company, estimates car manufacturers and their products by the rate of problems encountered per hundred copies (PP100). The brand and model with the lowest level of malfunctions get appropriate places in their categories. The Genesis brand surpassed other participants in the rating with an indicator of less than one problem per car – according to data received over the past 12 months from model owners aged three years. Thus, the personal coefficient of the PP100 brand was 89 points. This result exceeds the industry average by about 34%. In addition, the leadership of Genesis was also noted in such areas as driving emotions, the HVAC complex (heating, cooling and air conditioning systems), interior and seat comfort.
