Eggplant and peach – too sexy emoticons according to Facebook

Facebook has recently become famous not only for scandals related to the leak of user data. From a certain point, Facebook began to actively introduce censorship into its platforms, including both the Facebook social network itself and Instagram.

Another innovation was the ban on the use of a number of emoticons under certain conditions. We are talking about eggplant and peach pictograms.

If such emoticons are used in a sexual context, this can lead to various kinds of consequences, beginning with the removal of the corresponding user post and ending with the account lockout.

On the Russian-language site Facebook in the section “Community Standards” you can find the following item: “emoticons or their combinations that have sexual meaning due to context or a socially accepted interpretation.” In this case, we are talking about “ambiguous elements” related to the prohibited.
