RSA Buyer Consortium led by Symphony Technology Group.
The consortium, led by investment companies Symphony Technology Group and AlpInvest Partners, and the Ontario Teachers ’Pension Fund, finalized an agreement with Dell Technologies.
The agreement provides for the sale of RSA, Dell’s computer security division. The purchase will cost the consortium $ 2.075 billion. The deal, which includes the purchase of RSA Archer, RSA NetWitness Platform, RSA SecurID, RSA Fraud and Risk Intelligence and RSA Conference, is expected to close in the next six to nine months. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
According to the relevant press release, “RSA provides risk, security and fraud teams with the ability to holistically manage digital risks, including detecting and responding to threats, identity and access management, integrated risk management and fraud prevention across multiple channels. Today, more than 12,500 clients rely on RSA to provide digital transformation, address the increasingly common cyber threats and adapt to more complex digital rules. ” As for the RSA Conference, this is the world’s largest security conference, in which leading experts participate.
