The modified Roomba model overcomes thresholds and stairs.
Videobloger Peter Sripol published an amusing video on his YouTube channel that describes the creation of the “world’s first” flying robot vacuum cleaner.
The unit is based on the Roomba model, which was bought cheaply on Amazon. The price of the vacuum cleaner before completion was less than $ 70. The total amount spent on the project was about $ 200.
After modification with the help of three channel fans, the robot vacuum cleaner is able to overcome thresholds and fly up the stairs. As can be seen in the video, the device can not yet be called particularly useful and practical. The air currents generated by the fans accelerate the dust and create additional clutter. In addition, if initially the vacuum cleaner could be tidied up automatically, then flights require human control.
