Computex 2020 is open to question

Taiwan buried for foreigners from tomorrow.
The Government of Taiwan has announced a ban on entry for all foreign guests until further notice. The ban, triggered by the desire to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, will enter into force tomorrow, March 19.

All foreigners arriving in Taiwan and already on their way will be placed in a mandatory 14-day quarantine. The exception is the holders of foreign resident certificates, diplomatic passports and special entry permits for businessmen (this is not the same as business visas).

The ban calls into question the holding of the Computex 2020 exhibition. Although it is held in June, preparations for the exhibition begin already in April, when foreign participants prepare to import their exhibits, organize stands, logistics and solve other issues on the spot.
