However, Gates said that so far, many buyers are not interested in electric cars because of their low mileage on a single charge.

For the above reason, the billionaire decided to buy an electric car, but not Tesla, but the “charged” version of the Porsche Taycan. The car is able to accelerate to 100 kilometers in 2.8 seconds, having a maximum range of 450 kilometers. The basic equipment of an electric car starts at $ 186,350, and with the addition of additional options it can easily exceed 200 thousand.

Many users turned to Elon Musk asking why Bill Gates chose the Porsche Taycan, because the Tesla Model S can travel up to 630 kilometers without recharging. They also disputed the words of the founder of Microsoft, who said that 99% of electric cars have a range of not more than 320 kilometers.
