In numerous materials regarding Xiaomi’s plans to upgrade smartphones to MIUI 11, there was one minor gap. They lacked the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro models.
Yes, there were Redmi K20 and K20 Pro, and these are exactly the same devices, but still the models are formally different and the firmware for them is different. However, worrying about the fate of the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro is not worth it. At least the younger model has already begun to receive MIUI 11. In particular, the author of this article has just received an update.
The update weighs over 700 MB and brings MIUI 11.0.2 to the smartphone. We have already written about the innovations of MIUI 11 more than once. This is an updated interface, and advanced features of the AlwaysOn Display mode, and completely new sounds for which Xiaomi received the Red Dot Award, and many other innovations.
In this case, while MIUI 11 for Mi 9T is based on Android Pie, and it is not clear when there will be an update to Android 10. However, in the case of smartphones with shells similar to MIUI or EMUI, often the version of the shell itself is more important than the OS version.
